Implants: Teeth in an Hour

Keep Your Teeth for Life!

Your Initial Visit

CARE Continuum

The Silberg CARE Continuum is a treatment methodology that is rooted in our skill, experience and genuine care for the people who become our patients. At The Silberg Center For Dental Science, we combine all of this with the best techniques science and technology have to offer to provide our patients with permanent dental solutions for life. Because we are committed to treating and caring for the person, not just the patient, our treatment methodology begins in our office, and continues for the rest of our patient’s lives.

Patients who come to us for treatment realize that they are getting more than just a new set of teeth or typical dental treatment, as they will soon rediscover the joy of laughing…smiling…and living.

To ensure that every one of our patients receives only the best treatment, designed only for them, The Silberg CARE Continuum offers every patient:

C.A.R.E., an integral philosophy at the Periodontal practice in Pittsburgh PA

Comprehensive examination

This initial examination and consultation period is the opportunity for doctor and patient to get to know one another. For the patient, it’s an open dialogue that provides a chance to get to know us and ask any questions, to make the patient feel comfortable and assured. For the doctor, it’s an opportunity to examine the patient and glean a comprehensive knowledge of individual medical, periodontal and cosmetic needs, through dialogue, exam, photos, x-rays, and any other necessary tests.

Assessment of treatment options

After Dr. Silberg and his team have evaluated the information from the Comprehensive examination, all findings and treatment recommendations will be presented to the patient. Dr. Silberg will fully explain his diagnosis, along with visuals (models, patient photos and x-rays) if necessary, to guarantee that the patient clearly understands how and why the course of treatment was determined. At this point, doctor and patient will review all related treatment costs and will outline a mutually agreed upon schedule to begin the treatment plan.

Restoration of teeth and gums

After the treatment options have been agreed upon, the treatment process begins, with the goal of restoring the patient to optimal oral health. Depending upon the patient’s specific needs the treatment phase of the patient’s care can be accomplished in one visit, for more routine procedures (such as permanent teeth dental implant placement for a single tooth, or scaling and root planning treatment), or over multiple visits for more complex procedures (such as the replacement of dentures or remaining teeth with permanent teeth dental implants, or gum/bone grafting procedures). As with all of our treatments, Dr. Silberg and our entire staff will work with you at every step of your treatment to ensure that you receive only the highest quality care and solutions designed only to meet your specific health needs.

Evaluation & maintenance

Once the patient’s treatment is completed, Dr. Silberg and his professional team will evaluate and review the patient, to ensure the success of the procedure and to guarantee maximum comfort and satisfaction with the treatment. For each and every one of our patients, our treatment, care and commitment to preserving optimal oral (and overall) health does not end once a procedure is successfully completed. Dr. Silberg will develop a personalized post-procedure care and maintenance plan for each patient that includes cleaning and care instructions, a schedule of future maintenance or preventive care visits and any necessary dietary recommendations or restrictions (especially relevant for patients receiving surgical treatments). For our patients receiving permanent teeth dental implants we also offer free annual maintenance check-up appointments for the first three years after dental implant placement. Our efforts to restore, and maintain, the oral health of our patients is part of our never-ending commitment to guaranteeing that each of our patients enjoys their teeth, FOR LIFE!

Dr. Silberg will then study the information that is gathered. When you return for your consultation, he will review the findings and discuss recommendations based on your stated long-term goals. He will discuss the time and fee estimates that will be necessary to complete your treatment and the details of how these services will be provided. We will also review our office policies and set up financial arrangements.

Dental Implant Consultation

To prepare for our time together, you may call and register over the phone. If you have dental insurance please bring your card. Also please bring your personal calendar for scheduling future appointments.

Our office strives to deliver the most accurate diagnosis and the highest quality of care that dentistry has to offer. We believe these goals can be met through a continuous and open dialogue between you and our entire team. We encourage you to involve yourself in your own treatment and ask questions throughout our relationship.

To effectively serve your needs and manage the office, we ask you to make certain that an appointment scheduled is an appointment kept. This time has been exclusively reserved for you. Please understand that your overall well- being is our prime concern. Your commitment to this initial appointment will set the stage for your future care and our relationship. We look forward to working with you and welcoming you to our practice family.
